AREAS OF PRACTICE Construction Employment Litigation - Commercial Litigation - General Michael's practice focuses on commercial and employment litigation. His experience as a former briefing attorney for the United States District Court coupled with his extensive experience in commercial and employment disputes has enabled Michael to successfully secure favorable verdicts and judgments in a wide variety of commercial cases for businesses and professionals engaged in multiple industries as well as the defense of all types of lawsuits. Michael's efforts have included cases involving collections, deceptive trade, employment discrimination, fraud, fraudulent transfer, negligence, real estate titles, and enforcement of contracts in state and federal courts as well as through binding arbitration. REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE Recovered five judgments in excess of ½ million dollars in commercial real estate and contract disputes. Successfully defended multi-million dollar clients in breach of contract, deceptive trade, foreclosure, and personal injury litigation. Successfully defended appeals to the Texas Supreme Court on matters of real estate and arbitration. Part of litigation team for Estate of Albert Strangi v. Commissioner, a multi-million dollar test case in the U.S. Tax Court and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals against the IRS involving family limited partnerships.
