Mike Reed is the managing shareholder of the firm’s Coachella Valley office and represents clients in business, health care and estate planning transactions.
Mike assists clients in the formation, operation, dissolution, purchase and sale of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business entities. He negotiates and prepares a wide range of business and technology agreements, including, but not limited to, asset purchase agreements, licensing and assignment agreements, stock option, purchase and ownership agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, and employment and independent contractor agreements. Mike also provides a complete array of trademark services, assisting clients in their initial application for trademark registration and guiding them through the prosecution process.
Mike helps health care providers with an array of complex issues, providing legal analysis and guidance to ensure his clients and their practices adhere to applicable statutes, regulations and other state and federal requirements. Mike also deals with numerous fraud and abuse issues, such as compliance with anti-kickback and physician self-referral prohibitions. Mike works with independent practice associations, medical groups and individual providers to structure joint venture arrangements and in connection with the purchase and sale of medical practices.
In addition to his business and health care work, Mike assists clients with their estate planning needs, preparing wills, trusts, advance health care directives and powers of attorney for asset management.
Mike received his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Oregon Law Review. Prior to law school, Mike attended and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego. |
