Melissa S. Dillenbeck is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. In her practice, Melissa focuses on a diverse range of intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, information technology and advertising substantiation and promotion law. Melissa's experience in trademark matters includes prosecution, enforcement, and trademark infringement litigation, and she has also had extensive experience with domain name infringements and disputes. She also assists clients with protection and enforcement of copyrighted works, including sculptures and literary works.
Melissa graduated with honors in 2001 from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she worked as a teaching assistant for First-Year Legal Writing. She also externed with the Honorable Sidney I. Schenkier, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She has a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from Northwestern University.
Melissa is a former competitive figure skater and currently serves as a sectional-level judge for U.S. Figure Skating, as well as a member of the Sanctions and Eligibility Committee. She also serves as the Secretary of the Skating Council of Illinois. |
