Melinda Ackerman is executive vice president and human resources director for Huntington Bancshares Incorporated. Prior to joining Huntington, Ackerman was senior vice president for American Electric Power (AEP) and was responsible for all Human Resources-related issues in an 11 state service territory. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society for Human Resources. Ackerman serves on the Goodwill Columbus Board of Directors and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Society for Human Resource Management. She also served on the benefits committee of the U. S. Chamber of Commerce. Ackerman earned a degree in management from Morehead State University and completed the Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan and the AEP Management Development Program at The Ohio State University. |
