Melanie Prater joined Southern Living At HOME in 2001 as a Regional Manager, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in direct sales. She first entered the industry as a college student, quickly building a large and successful organization while earning her company's highest sponsoring and sales awards. For more than a decade now, Melanie has been on the corporate side of direct sales, helping to develop a startup company and creating and implementing sales training programs on a national level. As National Sales Manager, she is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of our five Corporate Field Managers, whose role it is to keep our field educated, motivated, and inspired. Melanie lives in North Carolina with her husband, Donnie, and their daughter, Laylah.
