Max W. McCombs is Vice President, Environment, Safety and Health for Solutia Inc. His responsibilities include health, safety and environmental compliance and product safety as well as transportation and site security.
Mr. McCombs began his Monsanto career in January 1975 as an environmental engineer at the John F. Queeny Plant in St. Louis. From 1981 to 1988 he held various government affairs positions in the agricultural and chemical divisions of Monsanto. From 1988 to 1991, he was ESH Superintendent at the William G. Krummrich Plant in Sauget, Illinois. After returning to St. Louis in 1991, Mr. McCombs held several corporate and business platform ESH positions until assuming his current responsibilities.
Mr. McCombs is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Environmental Science from the School of Civil Engineering.
