Maureen has successfully represented individuals, corporations, and tribes in litigation at administrative hearings and in trial and appellate courts. Her litigation practice has particular emphasis on commercial disputes, antitrust, insurance, environmental, and land use law. She has experience litigating in both state and federal courts. Maureen also advises clients regarding transactional and business matters. Many of the clients Maureen represents are in the high-tech and software industries. Maureen was formerly an associate with Short Cressman & Burgess, PLLC and clerked for the Honorable H. Joseph Coleman at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division One. Pro bono: Maureen has volunteered for immigration clients who are domestic violence victims seeking legal status in United States and for low-income clients whose cars were impounded.
Related Experience: Before law school, Maureen was a legal assistant at Clifford Chance, a multinational law firm, in its Moscow, Russia office. Maureen also has experience managing and developing real estate in Ireland and New England.
Education: Smith College (B.A. 1995), University of Washington School of Law (J.D. 2000). During law school, Maureen was Executive Articles Editor for the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal.
