Maureen Sammon 44 began employment with MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company’s predecessor company Iowa Power in 1986 as an accountant in the treasury department. From 1989 to 1995 she served as a financial analyst for Iowa/Midwest Resources. In 1995 Sammon was named manager of benefits for MidAmerican. She served as vice president of human resources for MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company from 2000-2003 and was named vice president of insurance and human resources in 2003. In 2004 Sammon was named senior vice president human resources information technology and insurance. Sammon was named senior vice president and chief administrative officer in May 2007.
Sammon graduated from the University of Iowa in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Sammon received her M.B.A. from Drake University in 1989. She is a board member with the Better Business Bureau.
