Matthew J. Simeone, a Partner of Wellington Management Group, focuses his leadership recruitment efforts on clients in the consumer products and services, industrial products and manufacturing, and software and technology sectors globally. His recent engagements include searches for C-level executives, Presidents, and key leaders at the Vice President and Director levels across most functional areas including marketing and product development, global sourcing and procurement, supply chain, operations, sales, business development, and finance.

To complement his work with public and privately-held clients, Mr. Simeone also has extensive experience with the evaluation and recruitment of executives and professionals for middle-market private equity and venture capital-backed companies. His work with those clients has given him a thorough understanding of the unique leadership qualities, managerial skills, and professional background required by private capital-backed organizations.

Prior to joining Wellington, Mr. Simeone held general management and marketing management positions with Infonautics Corporation, an early-stage online content and services company where he led their corporate marketing and sales division. His early career included positions with Reed Elsevier Inc. and the Mead Corporation, and tenure as a program associate in a leading national security advocacy foundation.

Mr. Simeone earned a B.A. degree with honors from Lafayette College and an M.A. degree from Brown University.
