Mr. Jones has practiced in business and energy litigation for more than 16 years. His experience includes such matters as patent infringement, professional disability, contract, business tort, insurance, and unfair trade practices issues.He handles cases through both the trial and appeal process, and his representative matters include: The successful defense of a major oil company in a multimillion-dollar fraud and punitive damages jury trial The successful prosecution of a multimillion-dollar contract and fraud claim on behalf of a major oil company The resolution of an extremely complex failure to warn claim on behalf of a major life insurance company The successful defense of an oilfield pollution and radiation contamination case Mr. Jones is active in the Lafayette civic and professional communities. He is the immediate past president of the Federal Bar Association Lafayette-Acadiana Chapter and he works with disadvantaged youth, as a tutor and a court-appointed advocate for abused and neglected children. In recognition of his youth advocacy, Mr. Jones was recently named an Everyday Hero by the Lafayette Parish Bar Association. |
