Mary Ellen Esser, Vice President of Clinical Resources, brings 20 years experience in Quality Management, Case Management and Risk Management to SHA. She has extensive experience preparing for and maintaining a hospital's JCAHO accreditation and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Ms Esser has been responsible for multi-facility clinical, quality, risk and case management functions including leading the Clinical Division of Mariner Post Acute Care LTAC Hospital Group and as Regional Director for Transitional Hospital Corporation. She worked with a management corporation and participated in the development and opening of three HIH facilities. She received her nursing education from Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital-Dartmouth Medical Center. She is a Certified Professional Healthcare Quality and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. She has served on the Clinical and Educational Committees for the Acute Long Term Hospital Association.
