Mary Makela has been a member of the board of directors since July 2002. Makela has had a long career in the fields of sales, marketing, and alliances. Following a 17-year tenure at IBM, she became president of Cognos Corporation, where she was responsible for the company's $40 million U.S. operation. From Cognos, Makela went on to head North American sales at Computer Corporation of America. She then took over as CEO and president of IMC Systems Group Inc., an integrated software and services vendor, where she was brought in to strategically reposition the company and its products. Makela currently serves as president of MEM Associates, a consultancy that provides strategic support to high-level executives on a range of business, marketing, and sales issues. |
