Dr. Konstam was appointed Medical Director at Orqis in 2003. His vast knowledge, experience, and leadership in the field of cardiology support the company's extensive and ongoing clinical research and product development initiatives. In addition to his post with Orqis Medical, Dr. Konstam serves as Chief of Cardiology and Director of Cardiovascular Development at Tufts-New England Medical Center. He also remains active in academic medicine, as a Professor of Medicine (cardiology) and Professor of Radiology at Tufts University. He is a Trustee of Tufts-New England Medical Center and a former president of the Heart Failure Society of America. Dr. Konstam's prolific research has been published extensively in leading medical journals, and he is a renowned international lecturer on topics such as ventricular remodeling in heart failure, drug treatment, and strategies for improving the quality of care. He recently served as a member of the Cardiovascular and Renal Advisory Panel of the Food and Drug Administration.
