Martin Purdy joined the Turlock Irrigation District as a Human Resources Analyst in October 2001. He was appointed to the position of Assistant General Manager of Human Resources in April 2003.
Mr. Purdy is responsible for overseeing all District personnel programs including recruitment and selection, compensation, labor relations, employee benefits, training, performance evaluations and fair employment policies.
Prior to joining the District in October 2001, Mr. Purdy gained his human resources experience as the Employee Relations Manager for a retail grocery chain where he worked for 21 years.
Mr. Purdy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California State University, Fresno and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, a member of the national Society for Human Resources Management and Past President of the Central Valley Human Resources Management Association. |
