Since 2000, Professor Moskovits held the position of Dean of Science and Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He brings significant academic and industrial leadership and research experience and has authored or co-authored over 230 technical papers, edited or co-edited 4 books and holds 11 patents. Dr. Moskovits' recent research interests include surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and nanofabrication of nanowires with special applications to nanosensors. His expertise encompasses the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology and he is also known for his work in the development of porous anodic aluminum oxide as a template platform for nanotechnology. He serves as Vice Chair of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Basic Energy Sciences Advisory Committee and was a member of the DOE advisory committee on the establishment of the DOE's five nanocenters. Dr. Moskovits has been the recipient of many honors and awards, including selection as a Guggenheim Fellow and as a Killam Fellow. Dr. Moskovits helps lead the company towards identifying new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, possible technical licenses, and new investment opportunities. |
