Mr. Klimpl is in charge of Becker & Poliakoff's Prague office where he oversees Firm's Czech and European presence. He was recently featured by the Czech Council on Foreign Relations, a forum for leaders from the Czech economic, political, religious communities. Martin Klimpl served in Czech government for many years prior to joining the Firm. He was appointed assistant to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lubos Dobrovsky and assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Klimpl was among a small group of young Czechoslovak diplomats involved in a study visit of the NATO headquarters in Brussels. He served in Czechoslovakia's Embassies in Bonn, Germany, and London, England, for a short period of time. He participated in a three month study program for young diplomats focusing on international law, economics, cooperation between the East and the West and European integration. He also participated in a three month study course organized by the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. |
