Martin Dunsmuir, GotVoice President and CTO, has held senior technical positions with industry-leading companies in the U.S. and abroad. He joined the technical staff of Logica PLC in London in 1979, and was instrumental in the computerization of the London Tube's ticketing system. In 1985 Martin joined Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, WA to run the development and engineering for Microsoft's UNIX product line. During his eight years at Microsoft, Martin held a number of senior technical and business development positions in the Microsoft System Group, and was the leading Europe-based technical consultant for the company in the first two years of Microsoft Consulting Service. He also worked on interactive television, online services and multimedia tools. Martin joined RealNetworks in 1995 as General Manager and Founder of their Server business unit. In this capacity he was responsible for product marketing, business development and engineering of all RealNetworks servers and development tools. Martin was responsible for the first three generation of Streaming media server delivered by RealNetworks. He was General Manager in charge of the implementing a world-wide media delivery network called the Real Broadcast Network (RBN) and led the development from its inception until it was established as a major part of RealNetworks' business with anchor tenants such as ABC Sports and AOL. In 2000 Martin left RealNetworks, and moved to Hawaii where he founded GotVoice, Inc. Martin is the architect and developer of GotVoice's technology and services. He is an accomplished technical writer and has presented at exclusive industry events, including the NAB Executive Summit, The Cable Industry Lifetime Achievement Awards and the American Physical Society Annual Conference. |
