Martin Richenhagen was selected by the Board of Directors in March 2004 as President and Chief Executive Officer of AGCO Corporation. He serves on both the Executive Board and the Succession Planning Committees. As of August 15, 2006 Richenhagen will also serve as Chairman of the Board for AGCO Corporation. Mr. Richenhagen is also a board member for the Phelps Dodge Corporation and serves on the Audit, Finance and Corporate Governance Committees.
Richenhagen most previously served as Executive Vice President at Forbo International SA, a manufacturing firm specializing in flooring materials, headquartered in Switzerland. He also served as Group President for CLAAS KgaA mbH, a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment, headquartered in Germany, where he was responsible for the entire operative business of global CLAAS sales companies, exports, customer service, parts distribution and human resources management.
Prior to 1995, Richenhagen was the Senior Executive Vice President of Field Operations for Schindler Holding GmbH in Germany. His responsibilities included the management of the entire sales force leadership, customer service and logistics.
An international business executive, Richenhagen, is fluent in several languages, has lived overseas for many years, and is married with three children. He is a graduate from the University of Bonn. |
