Martha Laboissiere is a senior fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), McKinsey & Company's economics research arm, where she leads knowledge efforts. Her work focuses on labor markets, labor productivity (particularly in Latin America) and health care.
Martha was previously a consultant in the Sao Paulo office of McKinsey & Company. She has served clients in the areas of financial institutions and health care.
Prior to joining McKinsey, she pursued an academic career, first as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California San Francisco and later at the University of Brasilia in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Martha has a B.A. in biology from the University of Brasilia. She also holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin Madison. |
