Mr. Stephenson has historically provided oversight for the school’s financial and business operations and is a key member in the development of the school’s existing credit portfolio. Mr. Stephenson monitors the school’s strategic progress and provides operational oversight.In January 1991, Mr. Stephenson joined Aequicap as Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. In August of that same year, Mr. Stephenson was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and subsequently, in 1998, Mr. Stephenson was promoted to President of Aequicap. As part of senior management at Aequicap, Mr. Stephenson was instrumental in growing the Company from $12 million in net written premiums to $150 million. For the past twelve years, he has been responsible for the overall operations and profitability of Aequicap.From 1984 through 1990, Mr. Stephenson was Vice President of Finance and Controller and other senior financial management positions for various insurance companies. His responsibilities at the time included financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and actuarial analysis with special emphasis on loss reserve certification.Mr. Stephenson received his MBA in Finance from the University of Virginia, in 1984, and his BS in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1977. |
