Mark Roberts is the third generation of his family to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Roberts was the founder and president of the Striker companies, Tierra Energy and State Operating Company. The Striker companies have been involved in the prospect leasing, drilling, completion, reworking and supervision of over 300 wells since 1978. The Striker companies operate or co-manage oil & gas wells in Texas and Oklahoma and maintain a staff of field and office personnel, including accounting, legal and acquisition professionals in their home office, located in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Roberts was involved in the financing and management of a horizontal drilling service company, an electric logging company and a drilling and completion rig manufacturing company. Striker Drilling and Mr. Roberts assisted in the development of the Ultra San Frac for Halliburton Services and used this new fracturing technology on the Milfay and Pawnee Lake fields. Mr. Roberts also discovered the Red Fork Mount Vernon Field in 1986, which has over 100 wells drilled and completed. Entities affiliated with Mr. Roberts have drilled and completed numerous wells since the early 1980s that still produce commercial quality quantities of oil and gas today. Through his experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Roberts has acquired broad knowledge and hands-on industry experience encompassing numerous facets of the energy business including: lease acreage acquisition; engineering, geological, and geophysical review; reworks; new drilling; completion; operations and the overall administration of an oil and gas company. Mr. Roberts also has extensive experience in the investment banking and securities industry, having been the President and CEO of public companies. Mr. Roberts has designed, with participation from legal counsel and financial consultants, various investment vehicles intended to generate significant returns to investors. Mr. Roberts unique career experience in both oil & gas and investment banking industries provided him the knowledge and insight to create the concept of the Striker Legacy Interests program.
