Mark Orlando (CISSP) is a Principal Security Consultant for Special Ops Security, specializing in process re-engineering, operations management, and security analysis. Most recently, Mark served as Director of Security Operations for Getronics, a global workspace ICT services company. There, he supervised security analysis and engineering teams supporting global security service delivery under the Getronics Security Solutions division. In the federal sector, Mark has managed Intrusion Analysis and Vulnerability Assessment teams at the Pentagon under the United States Army Information Technology Agency (ITA), where he provided technical oversight for a complete redesign and re-deployment of the Pentagon backbone security monitoring infra¬structure and was instrumental in designing and implementing a security training and awareness program to benefit cross-agency operations teams. Mark has been invited to speak at a number of industry functions, most recently at the 2005 IANetSec Mid-Atlantic Security Forum speaking on Malware Detection and Analysis, and has briefed high-ranking government officials on security threats and vulnerabilities on several occasions. Mark has earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation, the SANS GIAC Security Essentials and Incident Handler certifications, and the Certified Ethical Hacker designation. Mark has held a Department of Defense TOP SECRET clearance and earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in network administration and security from George Mason University in Virginia. |
