Mr. Clark is a Project Executive with CastleBay Consulting. Mark has more than 22 years experience in the IT field, the last 20 of which have been in the Property & Casualty insurance business. Mark has provided clients with leadership and consulting services in policy administration, claims, and financial systems. He is equally comfortable working within the business and IT areas. His recent experience includes: For a leading software vendor, engaged as a project manager and consultant in support of a new product launch. For a regional P&C carrier, worked with company and vendors to plan the Personal Lines implementation and integration of a component-based policy administration system. For a national P&C carrier, led a team in the development of various significant portions of a component based Commercial Lines policy administration system. He provided leadership for various teams engaged in analysis, design, development, and testing. Specific assignments included coverage, product definition, conversion and underwriting. Prior to joining CastleBay, Mark was a Project Manager with IBM Global Services, assigned to the Property & Casualty insurance industry. Whilst with IBM, Mark consulted with business and IT management on key integration, customization and implementation issues in support of a new start-up company for a major P&C insurer. Specifically, Mr. Clark provided Project Management, Consulting, and hands-on support for Financial components of the new company and systems environment, and managed the IBM team assigned to the project. Prior to IBM, Mark served as AVP of an award winning MIS Applications department, at a Commercial Lines P&C insurer. In this position, Mark: provided executive leadership to a group of business and technology professionals. prepared strategic systems plans in alignment with the business strategy was responsible for major enterprise-wide implementations supporting these plans of both in-house developed and package applications reported directly to the CEO for Strategic projects. Mark’s department won awards from InfoWeek for innovative client server implementation and from ImagingWorld, in the Insurance Category. Mark is a published author, and speaker, on the application of technology in insurance. He has a unique background that combines insurance, hands-on systems implementations, project management and technology. Mark is an excellent communicator and operates equally effectively as an individual contributor and a manager. Mark holds BA and MBA degrees, and is a PMI certified Project Management Professional. |
