This season Mark will continue in his role with the USBL as Director of Scouting. He is however very familiar with the league. Argenziano has previously worked for Kevin Mackey in Portland Maine as Advanced Scout and Shooting Instructor for the Mountain Cats in 1996. From there he followed Mackey to Atlantic City helping them to three consecutive USBL Championships (1997-1999). In 2000 he was a consultant for the league’s 15th Anniversary All-Star Team served on the Most Valuable Player and Post Season Festival Selection Committees and consulted with the league’s Director of Operations on basketball matters. He spent 2001-2002 with the Florida Sea Dragons where he handled all advance scouting and was in charge of the Sea Dragons draft. In 2005 he was instrumental in the selection process for the league’s 20th Anniversary Team. Since 2003 Mark has served as the League’s Director of Scouting.
Argenziano has also worked as a consultant for the 1999 IBA Champion Mansfield Hawks 1999-2000 Trenton Shooting Stars of the IBL and the 2003 Mansfield Hawks of the UPBL along with various teams from the NBDL CBA and overseas. Argenziano worked with Gary Steelheads Assistant Director of Operations Dennis Truax on player movement and development during the 2004-05 CBA season.
Mark represents the USBL annually at NBA Sponsored Summer Leagues and with his brother Jeff is the co-author of "The Genz Report" a minor league basketball player evaluation prospectus.
Argenziano is no stranger to the hardwood as he holds school records at the American School in Guadalajara Mexico for most career points (2 981) most three pointers in a game (17) highest free throw percentage (96.5) and once scored 60 and 66 points in back to back games. He is a well sought after clinician for basketball camps and shooting instruction.
Mark is a 1990 graduate of Radford University and earned his Master's Degree from the UMASS-Lowell. He is presently a teacher in the Lawrence Public School District. Argenziano is single and resides in Lawrence MA.
