Mark Von Schwarz joined ComCept in 2001 as Head of Operations, part owner and a member of the ComCept Board of Directors. Under Von Schwarz’s leadership, ComCept evolved from a fledgling start-up company to a recognized leader in advanced Network-Centric Warfare techniques. Recently, the company has been awarded the prestigious James S. Gogswell award for Security, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Industry in Network-Centric Warfare from the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement and the Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration of the Year award from the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Mr. Von Schwarz was responsible for attaining company ISO9001-2000 and SEI CMMI level 3 certifications. Over the past four years, ComCept has performed all contract obligations on time and under budget, with an excellent rating on contract performance and has maintained a 60% compounded annual growth rate. Mr. Von Schwarz has an extensive background in intelligence, engineering and operations management, having started his career in the intelligence field serving in the Army Security Agency as a Signals Intelligence Specialist and becoming the supervisor of a mobile ground station that provided real-time support to the XVIII Airborne Corp. As an essential team leader, he was responsible for integrating multiple types and sources of intelligence reports in support of tactical commanders. He was charged with maintaining the real-time deployment database and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his efforts. Mr. Von Schwarz holds a B.S. degree with academic distinction in Physics and Mathematics from Texas A&M University - Commerce. He is also an Honor Graduate at the U.S. Army Intelligence Schools and was trained in Electronic Warfare, Tactical ELINT and Crypto-logic Operations. |
