As a Certified Public Accountant, Mark Thomas has served in various financial management capacities with both private and publicly traded companies for nearly 20 years. During that tenure, he has examined and worked with financial systems and internal controls in a variety of industries. He has also had extensive experience in the due diligence and data analysis phases of several acquisitions and divestitures. Most recently, as Corporate Controller for St. Louis-based Maverick Tube Corporation, Mark was part of an executive team charged with redesigning the financial processes and systems for the $2 billion organization. Prior to joining Maverick, Mark played several key management roles during the growth and development of the Corporate Accounting department at Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company. Most notably, he managed the Company's external financial reporting department and led such projects as an ERP software module implementation, employee education programs on process improvement and teamwork skills, and numerous detailed accounting research projects. Mark began his career in the St. Louis office of Price Waterhouse, where he audited both privately-held and publicly-traded companies, with primary industry experience in public utilities, manufacturing and healthcare. He is a proud graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. |
