Mark McCollom is the Chief Financial Officer of Sovereign Bancorp, Inc. He is responsible for Treasury, Accounting and Financial Reporting, Strategic Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, Investor Relations, Management Reporting and Budgeting, Corporate Real Estate, and Taxes.
McCollom joined Sovereign in 1996, and has contributed to Sovereign's financial management during the most rapid period of growth in the company's history. During his tenure, Sovereign's market capitalization has increased from under $500 million to approximately $10 billion, and total shareholder returns during his tenure have exceeded sector and broader market indices.
McCollom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the CFO Councils for both the Financial Services Roundtable and the BAI. McCollom serves as a director of the Reading and Berks County YMCA, and serves in a leadership capacity for the annual fund-raiser of the United Way and the American Cancer Society.
McCollom has approximately 20 years experience in the financial services industry, previously with Meridian Bancorp and Price Waterhouse, LLP. He graduated with honors from Penn State University.
McCollom resides in Reamstown, PA with his wife and two children. |
