Mr. Colonnese has served as Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations since May 2006. From February 2002 until May 2006, he was Senior Vice President Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of AtheroGenics. Prior to joining AtheroGenics in March 1999 as Vice President Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Colonnese served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Medaphis Corporation of Atlanta, a $600 million healthcare service and software company. While at Medaphis, he was instrumental in refinancing the company and stabilizing its financial condition.
Previously, Mr. Colonnese was Vice-President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Applied Analytical Industries, Inc., a Wilmington, NC-based pharmaceutical development company, where he developed and implemented strategies to accelerate growth of the company and improve profitability. Mr. Colonnese was a member of the company's executive committee and served on the Board of Directors of Endeavor Pharmaceuticals. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Colonnese held a variety of executive and management positions at Schering-Plough Corporation.
Mr. Colonnese holds an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. magna cum laude from Ithaca College, and is a Certified Public Accountant. |
