Mark Menting is a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell s Mergers & Acquisitions and Financial Institutions Groups. He became a partner on January 1, 1994. He is listed in Chambers USA as one of America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He specializes in mergers and acquisition, securities, corporate and regulatory matters for U.S. and non-U.S. financial institutions and has broad experience in general corporate and securities law matters. Mr. Menting regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions in the financial services industry involving: banks and thrifts; investment management firms; broker-dealers; mortgage banking companies; insurance companies; and financial technology companies. He also regularly advises on U.S. securities offerings by banks and their holding companies and is a frequent speaker on various topics for financial institutions. In 2007 and 2008, Mr. Menting has advised: ING Group NV in its €300 million sale of Nederlandse Reassurantie Groep NV to Berkshire Hathaway (2008).
