Mark assists clients in two primary industries: healthcare and agribusiness. In the healthcare arena, he has worked on a number of regulatory and transactional matters for physicians, hospitals, medical-device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, and managed-care companies. Mark's agribusiness clients include land developers, electric utilities, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, corporations, trade associations, and individuals. His ag experience includes:Representing clients in land-use proceedings adverse to municipalities, adjoining landowners, and state offices, including the Department of Natural Resources and Department of Administration Working with multiple practice groups to facilitate complicated litigation and complete corporate transactions Representing commercial companies in the purchase and sale of assets Drafting chapters in a textbook focusing on Wisconsin environmental law, particularly hazardous waste remediation under Wisconsin and federal law, administrative agency procedure, and state laws pertaining to metallic and nonmetallic mining Mark’s background also includes serving as an investment intern at Allstate Investments and as a legal assistant at both the U.S. Department of Justice and Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C. |
