Mark D. Shircliff is a Vice President in the Operational Strategy & Performance Improvement Group. Mr. Shircliff has over 22 years of experience in the automotive and manufacturing industry. He is responsible for the execution of manufacturing operations related projects, conducting operation assessments and implementing performance improvement. Mr. Shircliff has significant experience with operations and program management, including manufacturing, quality, delivery, cost, technology, waste, maintenance, health & safety, assembly and shipping & receiving. Areas of expertise include lean manufacturing, value map streaming, product launch, process improvement and program management. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Shircliff was Vice President of Operations for AmeriChip International, Inc. While there, he was operationally responsible for a machining and engineering company. He also took to market a laser assisted chip control technology company and worked on research & development and production that was used by the transportation OEM s and the tier one supplier community. Prior to that, he spent five years as the Director of Manufacturing for Paramount Precision Products, responsible for all operations. Mr. Shircliff developed the business from prototype to high volume production, increased annual sales from $5M to $28M, expanded production, and successfully launched two additional facilities. Mr. Shircliff also spent 8 years with American Axle & Manufacturing in the component machining and assembly divisions. In addition, Mr. Shircliff spent 4 years as a Plant Manager for Secondary Aluminum Smelters. In less than ninety days, he increased production from 60,000 pounds to 95,000 pounds per day using the same equipment by improving the operational processes. Within two years, the company doubled in both size and production, supplying customers such as Chrysler, Honda, GM, and Ford. Mr. Shircliff has educational experience in Business and Quality Systems management, manufacturing supervision, and project management.
