Mark Gorrell is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of information systems, telecommunications and bio-medical/clinical engineering. He has more than 27 years of experience in health care information systems, reengineering, and operations consulting. Prior to joining Baystate Health in 1997 as CIO, he served as CIO for two other health care organizations. Mr. Gorrell received his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Texas and Certificate In Health Care Financial Management from the University of South Carolina. He has been a member of the College Of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) since its inception in 1994 and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) since 1985. |
