Mark Steinkrauss has served as vice president of Corporate Relations for Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. since 1998. He oversees the investor relations activities of the company and its publicly traded subsidiary, U.S. Cellular. He is responsible for day-to-day communications with the investment community including the financial media. He also oversees corporate public relations and employee communications.
Before joining TDS, Steinkrauss served as vice president of Corporate Relations for Fruit of the Loom for six years. Prior to that, he served for more than 14 years as the director of Investor Relations for Digital Equipment in Maynard, Mass. He has also been employed by the Comptroller of the Currency as a national bank examiner and by Fleet Bank, where he served as an equities trader, activity analyst and portfolio manager. He served 25 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a commander.
Steinkrauss has served as chairman and CEO of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and as president of the Investor Relations Association, the predecessor organization to NIRI. He currently serves as a member of the steering committee of the NIRI Senior Roundtable and on NIRI’s Ethics Committee. A former member of the New York Stock Exchange committee on shareholder communications, Steinkrauss has also served as chairman of the board of directors of the Digital Employee Credit Union, as well as a member of several other boards. He has been an adjunct professor of finance in the MBA Program at Northeastern University in Boston, and is a frequent guest lecturer at a number of colleges and universities.
Steinkrauss received both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College. |
