Mark A. Douglas joined Rohm and Haas in 1988 in the Croydon, UK office, after 10 years’ experience in the private sector. In ensuing years, he held increasingly responsible positions in marketing and sales representing: Textiles/Nonwovens, Paper, and Specialty Polymers.
In 1996, Mr. Douglas joined the European operations team for Polymers, Resins and Monomers where he was responsible for Class A attainment. Two years later, he relocated to Singapore as regional business manager for Specialty Polymers and Adhesives, and shortly thereafter was named Global Business Manager for Pressure Sensitive Adhesives. In 2001, Mr. Douglas moved to the company's Philadelphia headquarters assuming responsibilities as General Manager for the Adhesives and Sealants business in North America.
In 2005, Mr. Douglas was named Procurement Director and was elected a vice president of the company. He was named to his current role in 2007. In this assignment, Mr. Douglas is dedicated to leading the effort to realize the potential of the region and achieving the ambitious company goals set for Asia-Pacific in the company’s Vision 2010 strategy.
