Mario M. Coll III was named Vice President Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation one of the world's largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in May 2004. Houston-based Anadarko is active in the United States Algeria Brazil China and Trinidad and is executing strategic exploration programs in several other countries.
Mr. Coll brings 24 years of domestic and international engineering and operations strategic planning and information management experience to his position. He served as Chief Information Officer and Vice President Information Management for Devon Energy from 2003 to 2004 and as Vice President Operational Planning and Chief Information Officer for Ocean Energy from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that he held positions of increasing engineering and operations responsibility for nine years at Mobil Oil. He began his professional career as a Senior Service Engineer for NL Industries Inc.
Mr. Coll holds a bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Independent Petroleum Association of America. |
