Mario Christian Ulloa Lopez was appointed Chief Auditor of the Central Bank in January 2005.
Mr. Ulloa graduated as chartered accountant and auditor from the Santiago de Chile University.
Prior to his new appointment, he had been General Auditor of the Bank since 1996 and before that he was Chief Auditor (1992-1996) and Head of the Department of Administrative Operations Auditing (1990-1992). Mr Ulloa joined the Central Bank in 1986 after four years working as external consultant for a private firm, Langton Clarke (Ernst & Young), where he carried out audits at firms in various areas, viz. finances, pension, insurance, mining, electricity and construction.
He is a member of the Central Bank Auditing Committee organized by the Center of Monetary Studies for Latin America (CEMLA) where he has also been a speaker at their annual meetings and he has worked as IMF consultant. |
