Director of Finance & Accounting at Storeroom Solutions since 1997, Marilyn Dawes oversees the management of the Accounting Department. An enormous responsibility, her position calls for the accurate and timely processing of 18,000 invoices a month from some 10,000 vendors as each invoice is reconciled against the inventory system. Marilyn then coordinates month-end processing for 80+ locations and financial reporting for each location as well as company consolidated reports. Marilyn joined Storeroom Solutions in 1997 as Manager of Finance and Administration. Her broad base of experience, from retail to manufacturing, was key in understanding the complexity of the supply chain. Marilyn began her career in retail, as unit controller for a national travel center chain. She segued into manufacturing as Office Manager for a small manufacturing company. To complete the scope of her experience, she worked as Business Manager for a retail automotive dealer and was later Accounting Manager for a manufacturing company. Marilyn graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Lehman campus of the City University of New York. After raising two sons, she and her (retired!) husband live in northeastern Pennsylvania. |
