Ms. Phillips is a Member in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice. Since 1981, she has specialized in the defense of Illinois Workers' Compensation claims. Ms. Phillips regularly handles cases set on the Belleville, Carlinville, Collinsville, Herrin, Mt. Vernon, and Whittington dockets. She has represented the interests of the defense in worker's compensation matters in reviews before the Illinois Industrial Commission, the Circuit Court, and the Appellate Court.

Ms. Phillips has extensive experience handling Workers' Compensation cases involving amputations, assaults and violent acts, back injuries, body system injuries, bruises and contusions, carpal tunnel syndrome, chemical burns, contact with objects and equipment, cumulative trauma, cuts and lacerations, falls, fatalities, fires and explosions, fractures, harmful substances or environments, head injuries, heart attacks, heat burns, lower and upper extremity injuries, multiple traumatic injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, neck injuries, paraplegia/quadriplegia, permanent disability, poisoning, pulmonary disorders, respiratory conditions, skin diseases and disorders, sprains, strains, breaks, tears, tendonitis and transportation incidents.
Ms. Phillips is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Additionally, Ms. Phillips has spoken before numerous groups on issues pertinent to Illinois Workers' Compensation.

Ms. Phillips is actively involved in the community, having served as a board member and past president of ABLE, a program for gifted children; a victim advocate for Call for Help; a co-leader for Girl Scouts; and, a board member for the Tri-Lakes Humane Society. She is currently a member of the Marquette YMCA and Winstanley Baptist Church. |
