Ms. Maloney chairs the firm’s Houston office and serves as a member of its Board of Directors. She is a transaction attorney with experience in a range of commercial areas, including commercial lending, energy transactions, commercial trust, real estate, intellectual property, and mergers and acquisitions.She represents borrowers and lenders in energy loans. In addition, she has significant experience with purchases and sales of producing properties and mid-stream assets and construction of pipelines, platforms and other facilities. She works on transactions affecting properties onshore and on the Gulf of Mexico OCS.She works extensively with lenders and borrowers regarding commercial loans and industrial and commercial real estate developments, acquisitions, and sales. Ms. Maloney also advises major banks in corporate trust matters, including large municipal and tax-exempt bond transactions, benefiting hospitals, universities and major corporations.Her intellectual property practice involves the registration of copyrights and trademarks, contractual relationships relating to intellectual property, and security rights affecting such properties.She is an accomplished leader in many civic, legal, professional and religious associations. In 2004, her achievements were recognized by the Louisiana Bar Foundation, which presented her with its 2004 President’s Award. The same year she was selected by New Orleans CityBusiness as one of the Women of the Year. She is recognized by the Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA.Ms. Maloney is chair of the Louisiana State Law Institute, an advisory law revision commission, law reform agency and legal research agency of the State of Louisiana.
