Ms. Peters' practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on supplier disputes, major construction cases and general business disputes litigation, including class actions, and general contract litigation. Ms. Peters previously served on the firm's Executive Committee and is currently the Managing Member of the firm's Bloomfield Hills office.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution Experience
Ms. Peters is one of the leaders of the firm's supplier disputes team, has vast experience in that area, and has handled all aspects of such disputes, from review of contract rights, to negotiations, to preliminary injunction hearings, and trials. Among her clients is General Motors Corporation, for whom she has worked on numerous supplier issues, but she has also represented tier one and two suppliers in the automotive sector, as well as makers of large commercial/industrial equipment. In addition, she has been involved in a wide variety of other commercial litigation, including those arising from the sale, acquisition and merger of entities, contract issues, environmental and construction litigation. She has handled trials, commercial arbitrations, private facilitation and mediations in a variety of commercial disputes. Her contract, supplier and construction litigation experience is wide ranging. She has represented buyers and sellers, and a variety of businesses, and on the construction side has represented contractors, developers and owners in numerous lawsuits, arbitrations and claims involving commercial structures. |
