With experience in government, health and hospitality, Maria joined Delaware North Australia (DNA) in 1997 as Business Development Manager before accepting the position of Director of Marketing & Business Development in 1999 and in 2004 the role of Director of Marketing & Business Development for Delaware North Companies International.
During this time Maria has maintained a strong and committed focus on establishing the DNA brand within the Pacific Rim market place which has lead to new business opportunities in both core and emerging market segments.
It has been under Maria’s direction that DNA’s strategic and creative response to tendering has placed the Company at the forefront for industry standards. Maria has applied this same level of analysis and on-going assessment to the operations and marketing at all existing DNA contract sites which has resulted in the development of annual business and marketing plans incorporating a series of measurable objectives and supporting strategies which facilitate for the growth and the continuous evolution so as to pro-actively meet the changing needs of existing and new user groups.
Together with Managing Director, Delaware North Companies International, Jonathan Tribe, Maria played a pivotal role in preparing the strategic approach and creative response for the bid that resulted in Delaware North winning the new Wembley National Stadium tender for the contract period of 25 years.
Maria’s ability to work closely with all of the Company’s business units to present a unified Delaware North brand is among her many strengths, and this will underpin her strategic responsibility for the development of new business within the international market place as well as her continuing responsibility for the Australia and New Zealand markets.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Science, Graduate Diplomas in Nutrition and Marketing and a Master of Business Administration. |
