Margaret Reed is the Administrative Director of the Surgical Services Team and the Chief Nurse Executive ("CNE") for Altru. She is a graduate of Trinity Hospital School of Nursing (1976) and the University of North Dakota School of Nursing (1991). In December 1999, Ms. Reed received an MBA in medical group management from the University of St. Thomas. Before assuming her present position in October 1993, Ms. Reed served as Administrative Department Director, 1986-1993; Patient Care Supervisor, 1979-1986; Staff Nurse, 1978-1979; Patient Care Manager Renal Dialysis, 1976-1978 and Staff Nurse Renal, 1976. She is active in several professional organizations, including American Organization of Nurse Executives, North Dakota Hospital Association Council of Nursing, Volunteer Hospitals of America Upper Midwest Nursing Council, the American Nurses Association, Association of Operating Room Nurses and is a candidate in the Medical Group Management Association. Ms. Reed's principal responsibility as CNE is to assure that quality nursing care is delivered throughout Altru. |
