PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Dr. Clarke is currently working in the area of patent prosecution in the biotechnology field.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Dr. Clarke's doctoral dissertation involved the functional analysis of QseBC, a bacterial two-component system, in response to quorum sensing. During her post-doctoral fellowship, she conducted further research on a pathogenic strain of E.Coli bacteria that can cause food poisoning. Dr. Clarke was the recipient of the Ruth Kirschstein Pre-doctoral Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health, and has published scientific articles in several journals, including the 2006 Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. Dr. Clarke has presented her work at various scientific meetings, including the Gordon Conference on Sensory Transduction, and was a Richard and Mary Finkelstein invited speaker at the American Society for Microbiology General Meeting. |
