Mr. Medina founded Terremark in 1980 and has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board since that time. Through exemplary vision and a keen ability to execute business strategy, he has led Terremark's transformation into a global leader in facilitating Internet connectivity and providing Internet Infrastructure and Managed Services. Mr. Medina worked as a certified public accountant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP and traveled extensively throughout South America. Through his travels and business activities over the last 25 years, Mr. Medina has developed an extensive network of business and political relationships in the US, Latin America and Europe and was appointed to the board of directors of ITFlorida by Florida Governor Jeb Bush. ITFlorida is comprised of top technology leaders from all of the major technology sectors in the state, providing guidance and input to the Governor, Legislature and other policymakers on technology issues. Mr. Medina is also Chairman of the State of Florida's Digital Divide Council, for which he was designated to serve by state statute. The Council will address the importance of access, training, and resources to information technology, the digital divide, and its impact on all Floridians. Mr. Medina holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. |
