Ms. Humphries serves as general counsel and bond counsel to numerous political subdivisions. She negotiates with local, city and county government officials regarding land development and zoning issues and is well-versed in state and local rules and regulations in those areas. Education and Professional Background. The University of Texas (Bachelor of Journalism, high honors, 1974); Phi Kappa Phi. Ms. Humphries worked as a journalist and television writer in Australia for three years (focusing on sports) before returning to the U.S. and beginning her law career. She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University (J.D., cum laude, 1982); Order of the Coif; Editor, Journal of Air Law and Commerce.
