Lynn Hughitt is United's vice president of HR Strategy. She is based at the company’s headquarters in Chicago.
Named to her position in 2004, Hughitt is responsible for the strategy, design, and administration of all United's health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs for all employees, as well as the Company’s incentive plans. She is also responsible for managing the development and implementation of salary programs for non-represented employees.
Prior to this position, Hughitt was Vice President and Controller from 1999 through 2004, where she was responsible for the processing and reporting of all financial transactions. She oversaw financial accounting, accounts payable, payroll and pension program administration, and passenger and cargo revenue accounting.
Hughitt has served in a number of other financial management positions at United, including manager of Investor Relations, director of Financial Planning and assistant treasurer.
Prior to joining United in June 1990, she served as vice president at Oxford First Corporation in Philadelphia, Pa.
She holds master's degrees in business administration from the University of Chicago and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Cornell University. Hughitt is a member of the Alliant Credit Union Board of Directors. |
