Luke Flemmer is a founder and Managing Director at Lab49. He is based in the New York office, and works with a number of existing clients overseeing Lab49’s engagements, and advising them on technology direction, particularly in the area of Fixed Income. Additionally, he devotes a fair amount of time to introducing new clients to Lab49’s services, and helping to develop and publicize the capabilities of the firm.
Prior to founding Lab49, Luke worked with the other founding partners at Simile Software, where he managed the engineering team, and also co-developed that firm’s core intellectual property, based around application of statistical techniques to natural language parsing. Luke joined Simile from Braindock, a wireless content delivery company, where he served as VP of Wireless Technology. Previously, Luke had co-founded and served as VP of Technology for Nimbl Inc, a startup focused on the development of high performance robotics and machine vision products .
Luke has spent most of his career consulting and developing technology for major corporations. He has particular interest and experience in the areas of real-time, high throughput systems, and in the design and application of evolutionary and adaptive software systems. |
