Mr. Lundin has served as a director on the Board of the Company since May 9, 1997 and has served as Chairman of the Board since March 23, 1998. Mr. Lundin was educated at the Ecole Internationale de Genève in Switzerland. In 1981, Mr. Lundin graduated from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (engineering). At age 25, Mr. Lundin headed International Petroleum Corporation's international operations for over 12 years. From 1990 to June 1995, Mr. Lundin was President of International Musto Exploration Limited and was responsible for Musto's acquisition of the Bajo de la Alumbrera deposit. Mr. Lundin was also responsible for Argentina Gold and the discovery of the multi-million ounce Veladero gold deposit. In addition, Mr. Lundin is chairman and director of the following companies: Lundin Mining Corporation, Canadian Gold Hunter Corp., Pearl Exploration and Production Ltd., Red Back Mining Inc., Tanganyika Oil Company Ltd., Tenke Mining Corp. and Vostok Nafta Investment Ltd. Mr. Lundin is also a director of Lundin Petroleum AB and Atacama Minerals Corp. |
