Lud W. Vaughn Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer
Lud Vaughn joined Provident Community Bank as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer on April 17 2002. He has thirty-two years experience in the financial industry in South Carolina.
Mr. Vaughn began his financial career in 1973 when he joined Citizens and Southern Bank in Rock Hill SC as Regional Auditor. He later served as Assistant Vice President Commercial Lender and Branch Coordinator in Gaffney SC City Executive in Clemson SC and Business Development Officer in Greenville SC. In 1984 he served as Senior Commercial Lender and department manager for York Chester Lancaster and Cherokee counties in SC. He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Commercial Team Lender in 1995 in Rock Hill SC and in 1999 he served as Market President Senior Client Manager and Team Lender for the Charlotte Commercial Region.
Mr. Vaughn received a B.S. degree from Clemson University and graduated from the Graduate School of Bank of the South at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge Louisiana.
Mr. Vaughn currently serves on the board of directors of the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce York County Economic Development Board and York County Boys and Girls Club. He serves as a member of the Rock Hill Economic Development Council and Winthrop University as a community advisory board member. Mr. Vaughn is the past President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Alliance.
Mr. Vaughn previously served as president of the Greater Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce the Greater Rock Hill United Way Rock Hill Kiwanas Boys and Girls Club of York County Boys Home of York County York County American Cancer Society and York County Clemson Club. He also served on the board of directors of the Rock Hill Arts Council and was campaign chairman for Partners in Progress at Winthrop University. Mr. Vaughn served as treasurer of the Rock Hill Minority Scholarship Foundation.
