Luann Serafin is a Manager in the Valuation & Financial Opinions Group. Her business valuation experience includes valuing equity, debt, and derivative securities (stock options and warrants), as well as intangible assets and private equity carried interests for a variety of purposes including fairness and solvency opinions, purchase and sale advisement, financial and tax reporting (e.g., SFAS 141 and 142), Employee Stock Ownership Plans, shareholder disputes, stock-based compensation and other corporate, tax and litigation related matters. Ms. Serafin has served numerous industries including retail, health care, biotechnology, technology, specialty chemicals, transportation, construction and engineering, business services, grocery stores, financial services, schools, hotels, restaurants and furniture manufacturing, among others. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Serafin worked as a Manager for Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLC in Washington, DC. Ms. Serafin has also worked for a boutique investment bank as well as a national valuation firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Serafin earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BS in Commerce with a concentration in Finance at the University of Virginia. Additionally, she has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. |
